Lady Knights drop 3A district title

The Henryetta Lady Knight varsity basketball team suffered a 61-31 loss to the 13thranked Holdenville Lady Wolverines Saturday evening in the Class 3A, Area II, District 2 championship game at the Henryetta Eventer Center.

Saturday’s loss drops the Henryetta cage squad into a ‘must win’ situation over the next two weeks in their journey towards the state tournament.

The first obstacle in the Lady Knights’ 2-week journey through the loser’s bracket will come this Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Kellyville against the host Kellyville Lady Ponies in the consolation quarterfinals of the Class 3A, Area II, regional tournament.
