The home win puts the Lady Tigers at 7-6 on the season and third victory in their last five games.
The Wilson ladies were back on the hardwood Tuesday at Schulter and will be in action Thursday with a first-round battle with the Preston Lady Pirates at the 2023 Muscogee Nation Invitational Tournament.
In Friday’s home game against Midway, the Lady Tigers took the first eight minutes of action by an 18-5 margin, then outscored the visitors 10-3 in the second stanza for a commanding 28-8 lead at the halftime break.
The Wilson ladies escaped the third quarter with a 12-8 advantage, sending the contest to the final eight minutes of regulation with the host Lady Tigers in complete control, 40-16.
The Wilson cagers blanked the Lady Chargers 10-0 in the final frame to put the finishing touches on their decisive 50-16 victory.
The top scorer for the Lady Tigers against Midway was Janelle Proctor, who finished with a game-high 24 points.
Brooklyn Weeks was next offensively for Wilson on Friday with eight points, followed by Jaslene Proctor with six, Jayda Pinkston four, Gracie Bear three, Kailee Branson and Allie Thompson two each, and Kaozong Yang one.
