Paving for the Troy Aikman Drive Road Paving Project around the Henryetta Public Schools campus continued on Tuesday.
During a special board meeting held Oct. 21, Henryetta Board of Education reviewed and awarded a revised paving bid from TRW Enterprises, a Tulsa-based company, in the amount of $299,350.
The bid included paving of Troy Aikman Drive around the high school and middle
TRW began the project on Nov. 21, the first day of Thanksgiving Break, in order to keep any possible interruptions of traffic flow and normal school operations to a minimum.
“We have really needed a new paved road for at least 20 years,” Superintendent Dwayne Noble said. “It will make for a much smoother ride when driving around the campus.”
Supt. Noble also added that the company anticipating completion of the project sometime this week.
Warren Road was completely closed to traffic on Monday and Tuesday with parents and students asked to take another route of travel.
