After working for American Exchange Bank since April 30, 1979, Dorothy Stewart retired on July 31, 1997. Dorothy worked in the main bank in various jobs before working in the drive-in, where she had been teller for 15 years. A reception was held in Dorothy’s honor at the bank on Thursday, August 28, 1997, with all the employees attending plus the following special guests: Dorothy’s husband, Robert Stewart; her daughter and granddaughter, Barbara and Kendall Bussey; two of her nephews, Johnny Vierling, Eufaula and William “Billy” Russell, California; two very good longtime friends, Bill and Virginia Slepka, Okemah and two retired employees, Johnny Cravotto and Barbara Lavendusky.
