June 17 is my wedding anniversary. This year would have been 22 years. We shared 11 and I will now have celebrated 11 without him. It’s kinda funny I write this column and cook each recipe I include. I did very little cooking when he was alive. He loved to cook and was good at it so I pretty much just did desserts during our married years. He spent so much time in the kitchen, it became a space with so many memories. Now, it’s where I feel closest to him even though the kitchen I cook in now is not the same one he cooked in. How could I not feel close to him there when that is where he spent so much time?
