Preston Public Schools has put new coaches at the helm of the Pirates and Lady Pirates basketball teams. Chase Littlejohn, a former assistant at Mannford, was hired to coach the boys’ basketball team, while Rylie Torrey is set to take over for head coach Kaylee Byrd this season. Byrd has left Preston to coach at Frontier. Torrey is a recent graduate from Oral Roberts University where has played 58 games for the Golden Eagles. Inspired by a family history in coaching, Torrey knew she wanted to utilize her experiences as a player on the sidelines one day. Torrey played alongside her dad, Coach Dusty Torrey, in high school.
