During a special meeting on Monday, Henryetta City Council approved temporarily closing all playground equipment and group activities at all city parks until the COVID-19 pandemic is cleared for open use without compromising public safety.
During a special meeting on Monday, Henryetta City Council approved temporarily closing all playground equipment and group activities at all city parks until the COVID-19 pandemic is cleared for open use without compromising public safety.
Council members also approved closing all overnight camping at both Jim Hall Lake and Nichols Park until the COVID-19 pandemic clears.
Mayor Munholland noted that fishing is still allowed.
A third and final agenda item was discussed and approved regarding raising Interim City Manager Donna White’s spending limit up to $25,000 in order to conduct business. Any amount above $5,000 will require a co-signature of the mayor or vice-mayor.
Council members in attendance were Shannon Scott, Mayor Munholland and Christy Jeffcoat. Gary Clason and Janna Duggan were absent.

During the Henryetta Municipal Authority meeting, trustees approved to raise the city manager’s spending limit to $25,000 to conduct business, requiring a co-signature of a trustee or vicetrustee for amounts over $5,000.
