House fire prompts arson investigation
Henryetta Fire Department (HFD) responded to a house fire on Tuesday night on 9th Street between Moore and Broadway streets. Dispatch received a call at 8:34 p.m. and the fire department arrived on the scene within a minute. According to HFD Chief David Bullard, the house was abandoned. “We sus pect arson because the house burned so quickly,” Chief Bullard said. “Once we arrived, the house was completely engulfed.” The heat was so intense that it melted the siding off of another nearby structure. What remains of the house is pictured above. The incident remains under investigation. TRACY GOZA | FREE-LANCE
