Henryetta Lions Club have reportedly had a busy year with guest speakers from Agape Crisis Pregnancy, Henryetta Balloon Festival, Dewar First Baptist Church Food Pantry, Green Country Technology Center and many more.
Colleen Fowler, Henryetta Lions Club President for 2019-2020, and her husband and Lions Secretary, Bob Fowler attended the fourth annual Paul Milburn Inaugural Gala.
The gala is for Lions Clubs across the state and donors who have given at least $1,000 to the Lions Meadows of Hope Program.
In December, the Henryetta Lions Club made a donation to Meadows of Hope and asked the Fowlers to attend the gala, representing the club.
For the past 13 years, the Fowlers have been house and foster parents at the Oklahoma Lions Boys Ranch, which transitioned to Lions Meadows of Hope in 2015.
They have lived in Dustin for over 18 months where Bob is pastor of Dustin First Baptist Church.
The Fowlers also recently attended the Lions MD3-E Convention in McAlester. While there, Bob joined the Briggs Scholarship Board of Directors.
“We are humbled by the opportunity to serve and look forward to leading the club for the rest of our terms,” the Fowlers said.
Henryetta Lions Club meets every Tuesday at 12 p.m., rotating meeting locations each month. Everyone is welcome to attend.
