The Henryetta Lady Knights and the Knights fell in battle Friday to Preston High School’s varsity girls’ and boys’ teams. Opening the county contest, the Lady Knights saw their losing streak extend with a 41-35 loss, while the Knights faced their second loss to the Pirates, 59-44. Henryetta senior Kaylie Hamric kept the Lady Knights active, scoring 12 points against the Lady Pirates. Shooting down three 2’s and six free throws, Hamric helped the Lady Knights obtain an early lead, but the Lady Pirates revived their offense and led a comeback in the fourth quarter. Overpowered, the Lady Knights fell in their third consecutive loss.
