Tigers fall into five-game losing slump
The Wilson Tigers enter a five-game losing streak towards the end of the season with a 57-45 loss to the Wetumka Chieftains. Tough defensive moments for the Tigers left them just one-point short at halftime. The Chieftains were coming off a one-game win streak when they took the Tigers down. Wilson senior Malik Thompson and junior Asa Mitchell busted out double digit scores against the Chieftains, but they couldn’t muster enough shooting power in the second half to secure a win. Wetumka had three core shooters that they depended on, including Jordan Osborn, Josiah McPerryman and Cody Sparks.
