The Oklahoma Tax Commission recently released city sales tax collection figures that primarily represents local tax receipts from July business. The monies they reported this period represent sales from August 16 to August 31 and estimated sales from September 1 to September 15.
Statewide, the disbursement of $161,994,343 in sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $4,006,960 from the $157,987,383 distributed to the cities and towns in October last year. The use tax disbursement to cities and towns was $21,936,267 according to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
In county returns, the counties shared in a $28,191,255 sales tax disbursement and a $4,195,463 use tax disbursement.
