Patricia MacLachlan was born March 3rd, 1938 in Cheyenne, WY and is an American children’s writer best known for her novel Sarah, Plain and Tall – a 1986 Newberry Medal winner later made into a TV movie. March 4th, 1966 is the birth date of Dav Pilkey born in Cleveland, OH. This American author is best known for his Captain Underpants Series. We have most all of this (JF) series.

Howard Pyle born March 5th, 1853 in Wilmington, Delaware and died November 11th, 1911 in Florence, Italy. He left school at the age of sixteen to start his three-year daily commute to an art school in Philadelphia. He later taught illustration and came to be known as the “Father of American illustration”. We have two books he wrote: (Classics) Men of Iron; The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood.
