Henryetta's athletic department announced its 2018-19 winter sports schedule recently.

The winter sports programs at Henryetta Public School are middle school and high school basketball and wrestling.

The middle school basketball team will begin the winter sports schedules with the annual Henryetta Middle School Tournament this Monday afternoon. The annual tournament will also feature games on Tuesday and Thursday.

The high school basketball team will kick off its 2018-19 season with back-to-back road games at Stigler and Kellyville November 29 and 30, respectively. The season opener at Stigler will also be the first game for the Knight cage program under new head coach Bunyan Johnson, who most recently was the head girls basketball coach at Beggs. Coach Johnson' first home game at Henryetta will be December 4 against Preston.

The wrestling program will begin its 2018-19 campaign November 29 at home against Wilburton. The Henryetta wrestling teams will travel to Okmulgee November 30 and December 1 for the annual Bulldog Classic wrestling tournament. The junior high mat squad will compete in Okmulgee November 30, while the high school wrestling team will compete at the Okmulgee tournament December
