HENRYETTA - This Monday will be the start of the 2018-19 middle school basketball season at Henryetta Public School. The 2018-19 season will get underway with the annual Henryetta Middle

HENRYETTA - This Monday will be the start of the 2018-19 middle school basketball season at Henryetta Public School. The 2018-19 season will get underway with the annual Henryetta Middle School Tournament. The 2018 edition of the annual HMS basketball tournament will feature five middle school girls and boys basketball teams. Besides the host Henryetta Golden Knights and Lady Knights, the other junior high teams involved in the 3-day, 5-team, tourament will be the Okmulgee Bullpups and Lady Bullpups, Okemah Panthers and Lady Panthers, Holdenville Wolverines and Lady Wolverines, and Wewoka Tigers and Lady Tigers. The annual tournament will get started Monday at 4 p.m. with seventh grade action between Henryetta and Wewoka. The girls contest will take place in the old gymnasium, while the boys game will be held in the new gymnasium. The eighth-grade games between Henryetta and Wewoka will be held at 5 p.m. with the girls playing in the old gymnasium and the boys squaring off in the new gymnasium. The other tournament contests on Monday will pit Okmulgee against Holdenville. The seventh-grade games will be get started at 6 p.m., while the eighth-grade contests will take place at 7 p.m. The girls games will be held in the old gymnasium, while the boys games will be held in the new gymnasium. Okemah will meet the winner of each contest between Okmulgee and Holdenville on Tuesday. The seventh-grade games will take place at 4 p.m. with the girls game being played in the new gymnasium and the boys game being held in the old gymnasium. The eighth-grade games will get started at 5 p.m. with the girls game at the new gymnasium and the boys game at the old gymnasium. There will also be four loser's bracket games on Tuesday between the Henryetta-Wewoka losers against the Okmulgee-Holdenville losers. The seventh-grade loser's bracket games will take place at 5 p.m. with the girls game at the new gymnasium and the boys game the old gymnasium. The eighth-grade loser's bracket games will be held at 7 p.m. with the girls game at the new gymnasium and the boys game at the old gymnasium. The fifth-place games will be held Thursday at 4 and 5 p.m., respectively, while the championship games will be played at 6 and 7 p.m., respectively.
