And the Award Goes To…..

Several Henryetta Lady Knight fastpitch softball players received post-season awards recently. Five Lady Knight team members were selected to the All-District Team, while six earned All-Conference honors for the 2018

Several Henryetta Lady Knight fastpitch softball players received post-season awards recently. Five Lady Knight team members were selected to the All-District Team, while six earned All-Conference honors for the 2018 season. In their first year under new head coach Ryan Swallow and featuring five 'rookies' in the starting lineup when the season began on August 6, the Lady Knights finished with a 26-10 record and finished second in both the Heartland Conference and District 3A-6 standings. (Henryetta and Kellyville finished with the same conference record with Henryetta finishing second due to a 9-3 loss to Kellyville.) Freshman Jalynn Joslin was awarded the Offensive Player of the Year award at both post-season meetings, while freshman Avery Miller was selected as the All-District Pitcher of the Year alongside Oktaha's Gracie Dickson and All-Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Freshmen Katelyn Dwiggins and Kasedi Gobin earned All-District and All-Conference selections. Sophomore Bailee joined Dwiggins and Gobin on the All-District Team and was an All-Conference Honorable Mention selction along with freshman Hulleah Wincle.
