A Broken Arrow man is in custody in connection with making indecent proposals online.
The Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest on Monday of 24-year-old Steven Lindsey of Broken Arrow.
According to the OCSO, on Aug. 20, investigators identified Lindsey as using a false name and posing online as a 19-year-old subject seeking underage individuals.
During the investigation Lindsey reportedly traveled to Okmulgee with the intention of meeting what he thought was a 15-year-old girl in the parking lot of the Okmulgee Library.
When Lindsey arrived at the location, he was taken into custody by OCSO deputies and taken to the Okmulgee County Jail.
The subject is facing complaints of Lewd or Indecent Acts or Proposals to a Minor, Attempting to Procure Child Pornography, and Using Access to Computers to Violate Oklahoma Statues.
A bond had not been set as of press time in the case.
