The Board of Okmulgee County Commissioners motioned to table a utility relocation agreement with ONG and ONEOK in their weekly meeting. ONG and ONEOK are currently attempting to workout issues connected with pipelines along Bixby Road, but commissioners still have not received needed material required for approval of the agreement. Commissioner Ron Ballard had contacted engineers who are working on the project Thursday but the engineers had no response back before the meeting Monday.
“I can’t approve it until we get the finalized prints to show exactly what they are going to do,” Ballard said. “They give us a one computer generated image and its nothing that the engineer doesn’t want to accept, so because he doesn’t want to accept it, I’m not going to.”
The Bixby Road Project has currently been in the works since 2017 and will improve traffic in the area between Highway 16 and the Okmulgee County line in the northern part of the county near Hectorville.
The Board of Commissioners also approved the following blanket purchase orders for the county:
• Sheriff’s Office to Dickey’s Oil Pit in the amount of $500
• District 3 to O’Reilly Auto Parts in the amount of $250
• District 2 to Unifirst Holdings in the amount of $700
• District 2 toAutoZoneAuto Parts in the amount of $250
In other agenda items, the board motioned for the approval of a utility permit for Kreiger Road and 260 Road in Rural Water 6 and a private property agreement in District 1 for ditch work near Ferguson Road and 310 Road.
