Board members approved the superintendent’s recommendations to employ Christie Heaslet as Language Arts teacher and Joni Howk as elementary teacher for the 2018-2019 school year.
Warrants and claims for the 2017-2018 General Fund, 2018-2019 General Fund and 2017-2018 Building Fund were approved.
Supt. Allen Callahan recommended approving the following activity fund sub-accounts, how they are to be expanded and the various revenue sources.
Sub-Accounts and Proposed Expenditures: Interest – Registration, supplies, fees, recognition, meals and transportation; Library – Books, software and registration; Miscellaneous – Holding account for specific student needs; Athletics – Registration, fees, supplies, travel and uniforms; Cheerleaders – Supplies, travel, uniforms and registrations; Student Council – Supplies, reconition and uniforms; Yearbook – Supplies; Flower Fund – Flowers and cards; Classes (Grade Specific) – Registration, supplies, travel and recognition; Academic Team – Trans, supplies, registration, meals and recognition; Principal’s – Rewards, meals, fees, supplies and recognition; PTO – PTO discretion; National Honor Society – Rewards, meals, fees, supplies and recognition; Speech/Drama – Trans supplies, registration, meals and recognition; Athletic Booster Club – Athletic Booster Club discretion; Elementary PK-6 – Holding account for elementary projects; Music – Trans, recognition, registration and supplies.
A presentation of the fiscal year 2018 tentative financial condition and carry-over and the signing of teacher and extra-duty contracts were reviewed.
