Henryetta Lions Club held their regular weekly meeting on July 18 at The Shack on Main Street.
Lion President Grant Jenson announced Centennial Membership award recipients for the year are Sherry Crosby, Tara Matthews and Donnie Smith.
Ashley Morris led Tail Twister with animal trivia. Those attending were asked multiple choice questions including “which dog is the smallest - poodle, pomeranian, daschund or chihuahua,” “what is the biggest animal that has ever lived - spinosaurus, brontosaurus or blue whale,” “what pets do more families own - birds, cats or dogs,” and “what animal sleeps standing up - gorilla, flamingo, camel or raven.”
In the Sunshine Report, member Kyle Kiner announced that Vacation Bible School was “going good” at the Methodist Church and Lion President Grant Jenson announced that his son, Ridge, has started crawling.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
Kim Stoy commented on how good the minutes were presented by new secretary Corbet Witham.
Mary Warden reminded members of the upcoming Lions Cabinet meeting on Saturday.
Before adjourning, Lions members discussed the possibility of donating money toward the School Trauma Kit Project led by Alan Kerby. The discussion was tabled.
