East Central Oklahoma Family Health Center, Inc. (ECOFHC) held a groundbreaking ceremony in January last year for their new health center in Henryetta.
Construction of the elegant 7,673-square-foot new building has been completed and staff are currently moving in and setting up furniture and necessary items and equipment to run at full speed.
According to ECOFHC Chief Executive Officer Donna Dyer, the health center will allow Okmulgee County residents to experience a much shorter waiting time for appointments and have a much better and more personalized experience.
ECOFHC Outreach and Enrollment Specialist Kristie Rowland guided us on a tour of the new facility this week and we were in admiration of the enormous impact this health center will benefit the county.
“Our employees and staff have toured the new building in increments. We are all very excited about the opening and look forward to serving the community. The health center will combine medical, dental and behavioral health – all in one facility,” Rowland said.
Officials of ECOFHC plan to finish moving everything in next Thursday, July 19 and will have a “soft opening” on Friday, July 20. The scheduled or “official” open date for the Henryetta site will be Monday, July 23. A Grand Opening will be announced at a later date.
The new health center features two hallways for medical, dental and behavioral health with 12 exam rooms, a large break/conference room, three dental chairs, a digital medical x-ray room, a fully-equipped and operational medical lab, a procedure room, a dental lab and a dental x-ray room and several offices for the doctors and medical staff. There will also be a child and parental therapy room available.
Address of the new Henryetta facility will be 104 E. Shurden Industrial Blvd. The Henryetta center phone number is 918-652-9614.
