The Henryetta Chaos 8-Under softball team captured the OK Kids state championship June 24 with an 8-3 win over the Stigler Shock in the final game of the 4-day, 26-team, tournament. The Henryetta squad, which is coached by former Morris standout Darren Rock, earned wins over the Merritt Outlaws (5-1) and Cashion Lady Cats (13-2) in their first two games of the tournament before suffering a 4-3 setback to the Stigler Shock. The Chaos rebounded with a 9-0 win over the Canute Trojannettes before once again falling to the Shock by a 7-4 margin. In the championship series on June 24, the Chaos earned a third meeting with the Shock by defeating the Red Oak Eagles 10-8 and the Durant Cubs 14-9 in their first two games.
