Thousands of area community members are expected to turn out for Henryetta’s 3rd Annual Customer Appreciation Fireworks Shoot on Saturday, July 7 at Nichols Park.
The event is hosted by Hwy. 62 Fireworks and Main Street Bowl. Both businesses are owned by a home-town Henryetta man, Shane Stafford.
There will be a parachute drop for kids around 9 p.m. And the grand fireworks show will begin around 9:30 p.m. with an estimated 316 fuses to be lit.
Other area events in conjunction with Independance Day include:
• City of Okmulgee Independence Day Festival on Wednesday, July 4 at 7 p.m. with fireworks to follow at 9:30 p.m. at the YMCA Municipal Park.
• Dustin Activities Committee will host a small celebration on Saturday, July 7 at 11 a.m. with free hot dogs and water balloons at the Pocket Park located across from Dustin City Hall.
